Jaysus, would you Adam & beliEve it? The bould Eamon Dunphy only went and tied the knot with his long term partner Jane Gogan last week at the tender age of 64. Despite being Ireland's most hard nosed controversial soccer pundit our Eamo really is just a big romantic at heart...

We’re suckers for a bit of the old romance here at the ShowBoozeness of Ireland, so we were only wiping away the floods of tears last week after we stumbled into Eamon Dunphy and his new blushing bride Jane Gogan on the steps of The Merrion Hotel... You're never too old to find true love folks.

The newly Wed couple was only after exchanging their vows when they happened on our hapless photographers seeking Guinness 250 celebs at the posh hotel... Turns out they booked their reception at the famous venue on the same evening Arthur Guinness was celebrating his big day with the likes of Kelly Rowland also staying there for the monumental worldwide bash. Hic.

So as luck would have it we got to snap the happy couple on their way to the post wedding meal at Patrick Guilbaud's restaurant in The Merrion whist waiting on Miss Rowland and a few other big name stars to show their faces... And the classy fella that he is, Eamon was only too happy to share his big moment with our snappers. If only other celebbos would follow his lead.

Eamon has been with Jane, an RTE commissioning editor, for the past 20 years – they made the event an dual family affair by roping in his daughter Collette as a bridesmaid and also his new wife's relatives Lisa Tierney-Keogh and Rose Goggin-Keogh.

Dunphy joked to photographers he got good value out of his sharp new black suit as he also wore it for his daughter's wedding only a few weeks back. He also said it was the first time he'd worn a tie in the past 30 years...
