The Stig V The Glenda...

After nearly being run-over by Glenda Gilson while crossing Dame Street last week, ShowBiz Ireland staff were almost convinced that the Alfa Romeo driving model slash TV presenter was none other than Top Gear's mysterious driver 'The Stig'. But our suspicions were smashed when both pacey motorists appeared in the same room at the same time last night...

Top Gear driver The Stig made a red carpet guest appearance at Brown Thomas last night. Promoting Top Gear Live when it makes its Dublin debut at the RDS this coming November, the yet unnamed driver gave away no clues as to his true identity. Not a one.

After a near-death encounter with Glenda Gilson on Dame Street the week previous and experiencing her race car driver-esque skills, we joked at the time that she may in fact be The Stig. That girl can drive! But darn it, she only went and showed-up at BT's last night and shared the same room as the mysterious driver, dashing our theory.

The “tame racing driver” is rumoured to be everyone and anyone from Damon Hill to Nigel Mansell. But we still think he / she might be The Glenda. Just look how similar they pose in the above photos. Hmmmmm... But how could they inhabit the same room at the same time? O there's the rub.

So The Stig's anonymity remains intact and The Glenda remains hot... But these days we look BOTH ways while crossing city centre roads while heavily laden-down with lattes and newspapers just incase the Xpose girl is darting around in her little red convertible sports car... We reckon she calls it 'Christine'...
