Prive - Dublin's Latest VIP Club... The Dublin VIP club scene just got even more intensely competitive with the launch of Privé in Dun Laoghaire. With the customary smattering of familiar socialites on show, a UK glamour model, and even an ex X Factor girlband - the south side suburban venue is vying to give clubbers an excuse to stay out of the city... Chloe Arnold Suburbia seems to be where-it's-at with the recent launches of Mantra out in Maynooth, The Wright Venue out in Swords, and now Privé out in Dun Laoghaire. With all the hassle and cost of getting late night cabs 'n' buses 'n' stuff in the bustling city centre, club promoters are moving out to the 'burbs and trying to keep punters out in the schticks too... Kandy Rain - Chemmane Applewhaite, Victoria 'Coco' Lloyd, Azi Jegbefume, Khatereh Dovani It would seem that the darn recession is affecting everything in the Irish economy apart from high-end nightclubs with the past few months seeing launch after launch of new late night drinking dens. Hmmmm... Perhaps us Irish intend to party our way through the downturn misery? Seems like a plan to us. Staci Noblett Last weekend saw the launch of Privé nightclub in Dun Laoghaire with strippers-come-singers Kandy Rain (fresh from being dumped out of X Factor) on hand to get the VIP guests up out of their seats and up on their feets... Devon Murray, Aoife McCourt And the scantily dressed theme was continued with Nuts magazine topless babe Staci Noblett behind the bar pulling pints o' the black stuff for launch night punters. Nadia Forde Other guests on the night included: Devon Murray & Aoife McCourt, Chloe Arnold, Nadia Forde & Georgia Salpa (janey mack - they actually posed for ShowBiz.ie!), Suzanne McCabe, Ann Morgan, Rebecca Lee, Kerri Ingram, Jeanette Ryan, Gwen Molloy, Bernie Cafolla, Wesley & Andy Quirke, Kate O'Toole, Kelly McGrath, and many more... Georgia Salpa So there you have it folks - Privé Nightclub - another excuse for suburbanites not to come into the city of a wet and windy weekend... Question is - will places like Lillies Bordello and Krystle up-their-game to keep their regulars?
