Dublin Party People in Denial... With all the media ado revolving around rapid recession, rising unemployment and negative equity - you'd think that Dublin punters would be staying in tucked-up watching Tubridy Tonight of a Saturday evening? Not so. Apparently the bad news hasn’t quite filtered through to the beautiful people who descend in large numbers on places like Cocoon, Base Bar, Krystle and Lillies Bordello. Yup. We're in denial folks and dancing our troubles away. Proper order too... Shelly Smith, Michele McGrath It really is hard to believe that Ireland is in financial turmoil given that the fine-young-things that like to party haven't slowed down since the Celtic Tiger finally did. If anything they’ve sped-up... With Michele McGrath as the new hot hostess in Cocoon Bar her fellow models seem to be making Eddie Irvine's establishment their unofficial headquarters of late. And not-a-sign of randy Eddie anywhere. Kieron Ducie, Elaine Buggle On Saturday night the late bar was awash with leggy beauties - and where the lovely ladies go, the fast fellas tend to follow... A wolf in designer clothing, Kieron Ducie was spotted out at Cocoon escorting his new brunette girlfriend Elaine Buggle on the town. Becky Sutherland, Elaine Buggle, Kieron Ducie, Jessica Morris, Aoife Mullins Any of you girls who venture into MAC in Brown Thomas will no doubt recognise Miss Buggle as the top make-up artist on the Armani counter. Elaine and friends Becky Sutherland, Jessica Morris & Aoife Mullins were among the ladies turning-heads on a very wet yet very busy Saturday night. Fiona Murphy, Claire Boylan B-Scene models Claire Boylan and Dearbhla Hogan and singers-slash-models Shelly Smith and Michele McGrath dominated pouting stakes for our money. But with all the fancy females on show these days it's hard to decipher between the catwalk queens, warbling divas and Abbey actresses. Does anyone do normal jobs anymore? Beauty is recession-proof baby! Hazel Doyle, Michele McGrath Other peeps on show in Cocoon included Hazel Doyle, Fiona Murphy, Ivano Caffolla, Imran Zaman, Alan Murray and quite a few more... Faith Barnett, Gavin MacDonald Over at Krystle revellers were treated to sharing their tall expensive drinks with the rather large and tanned Argentinean Rugby team who were licking their wounds after a defeat by Ireland. Irish captain Brian O'Driscoll was also there but we've had no reports about any off pitch scrums or high tackles with his South American cousins. Christina McBarron, Eimer McBarron, Collette McBarron Other guests at Krystle included models Irma Mali, Faith Barnett, Ruth O'Neill & Sara Kavanagh, City Channel reporter Rachel Wyse, the McBarron sisters - Christina, Eimer & Collette, and Ratpack crooner Jason O'Callaghan to name but a mere handful... Leigh Latt The depressing economic recession has got so bad folks that busy Krystle has had to extend its opening nights to Thursdays to keep up with demand. If the outlook gets any worse our wee Nation may even become happy once again...
