Golfing supremo Padraig Harrington was named this week as Irish Sportstar of the Year 2008 at a sporty Croke Park ceremony. After wiping the floor with Tiger Woods on some of the biggest greens in the world, the award was well deserved. His wife Caroline accepted the honour in his place...

Croke Park GAA ground is not a usual hang-out for our smelly unwashed paps (unless U2 happen to be in situ) but with a bleak celeb front blowing in from the West, we thought snapping a few faces at the 20th Irish Independent Sportstar of the Year Awards might keep our lads out of trouble for an hour or two. Sadly, this year's recipient Padraig Harrington couldn't make it as he's in pre-season training with fitness coach Dr Liam Hennessy out in sunny Abu Dhabi (lucky fecker!). In his place, his stunning wife Caroline Harrington accepted the gong at the award ceremony.
