Return of The Mac at MacBecks...

We know Jennifer Maguire is only a mere Apprentice in celebrity terms but even that doesn't excuse her wearing the same blue Karen Millen Mac coat, that we spotted Rosanna Davison wearing earlier this week, along to the world premiere of 'MacBecks'. O yes folks - this one could play out like a Shakespearian tragedy when next these two beauties clash...

Jennifer Maguire

In the ShowBiz world, wearing the same fashion item one of your contemporaries has just recently worn and been snapped in, IS the ultimate crime. Especially when that contemporary happens to be former Miss World Rosanna Davison and she was featured in almost every Irish tabloid newspaper wearing the offending item this week.

Jennifer Maguire, Don Baker

Luckily for ‘The Apprentice’ star Jennifer Maguire, Rosanna didn't attend the MacBecks opening at the Olympia last night. Can you imagine the nuclear fallout from the two prominent alpha-females wearing the same coat to the same event on the same night? No. It's too much to contemplate... We're talking blood on the streets folks.

Glenda Gilson, Ruth Henshaw

And even if our Jenny was aware that our Rosie had worn the same blue Mac earlier in the week (doesn't she read ShowBiz.ie?), it takes a brave woman to try to outshine Ireland's greatest ever beauty queen in the style stakes. It's a walk-off people... It's a walk-off.

Pippa O'Connor

Rosanna's old rival in the modeling world, Glenda Gilson, avoided the Mac attack last night and went safe with a black leather coat. Pippa O'Connor went all-out and opted for a Mac but avoided Rosie's blue hue, but looked daring in red.

Siobhan O'Connor, Karen Koster

And it certainly was The Return of The Mac at MacBecks last night. Karen Koster's mate Siobhan O'Connor was another blue Mac offender, but at least she wasn't rocking the Karen Millen stylee. We don't think we could take three lovely ladees wearing the same coat in the same week. Total. Fecking. Retail. Madness.

Adele King (Twink), Chloe King

Well, we hope we've addressed this MacGate matter to your satisfaction dear reader as we're well aware how these important issues play on your fragile fashion conscious minds. THIS IS investigative reporting at its apex.

Keith Barry, Mairead Barry

Let this be a lesson to all you budding fashionistas out there... Keep a keen eye on the magazines and newspapers before you step out in front of the paparazzi in your latest garbs. You may well be about to bogart an outfit already worn in the media. The ultimate fashion faux pas.

Orla Sheehan, Ray Shah

With all the crazy wayward Mac wearing last night we nearly got distracted from the camp musical based on the love affair of celebrity twosome David and Victoria Beckham. MacBecks draws on Shakespeare's Macbeth, King Lear and Romeo & Juliet - it's a comic romp and a much needed antidote for the January blues.

Michele McGrath

And we're almost positive that's there is no strict dress code to gain entry to MacBecks at The Olympia. We don't think you have to actually wear a Mac coat to go see the play. Although, looking at these pictures you'd think it was mandatory.

Siobhan Stevens, Paul Byrne

The opening last night was well attended by the great and the good. Amongst those at the play were: Jennifer Maguire, Don Baker, Glenda Gilson, Ruth Henshaw, Pippa O'Connor, Siobhan Stevens, Paul Byrne, Michele McGrath, Orla Sheehan, Ray Shah, Keith Barry, Mairead Barry, Adele King (Twink), Chloe King, Siobhan O'Connor, and Karen Koster.

Amy Creighan, Jody Trehy

And the guests just kept on coming with Amy Creighan, Jody Trehy, Kelly Blaise, John McColgan, George 'Mondo' McMahon, Gerry Lundberg, Linda Martin, Roland Soper, Sil Fox, Jim Rock, Hedy Rock, Roddy Doyle, Gay Byrne, Kathleen Watkins, and Tony Tormey all out on a wet Wednesday night...

Stephen Rea, Ronan Collins

Fresh from Launching Temple Bar Tradfest '09, actor Stpehen Rea and his buddy Ronan Collins also attended MacBecks. Other faces of note at the musical satire were: Barry Murphy, Brian Kennedy, Gary Kavanagh, Bernard Dunne, Pamela Dunne, Colette Fitzpatrick, Carrie Crowley, and Kathy Fullam. Where did they put them all?

Kelly Blaise

MacBecks is at The Olympia Theatre now, so go check it out...

Carrie Crowley, Kathy Fullam
