The Brunker Licked As Gay Icon... Beauty Queen come journo come mother come reality telly judge come heifer-hater come author come weight loss champion Amanda Brunker is nothing if not versatile. Yet despite her constant reinvention the Irish gay community find her all a bit meh. But that didn't stop her having a gay old time at GCN Magazine's 21st Birthday party last week... Amanda Brunker Poor aul Amanda Brunker hates being out of the celebrity spotlight for anything less than a millisecond, so being left-off the Gay Community News' gay icon list came as a bitter blow for the busty blonde. But in her true brash and ballsy style 'The Brunker' turned-up at the magazine's birthday bash in Tripod last week, determined to out-gay everyone. Amanda Brunker We have to say, the new and improved Brunker 2.0 looks amazing since shedding her excess weight. She's putting it all down to the Slender Xcellerate weight loss product but we reckon there's another more obvious reason... The Brunker hasn't been seen out of ultra tight corsets in about a year, we'd be thinking she has them laced-up so feckin' tight that taking a deep breath must be a struggle - never mind a belly full of grub! Whatever her secret, she is looking hot. Well, she has a whole year of corset clad Tom Foolery to get herself some pink iconography in 2010... David Norris The man named as top gay icon at the Tripod bash last Thursday night was Senator David Norris... They even presented him with a little crown. Awwww... Well, you can't get much gayer than that... Good man David. Congrats! Sam Marchant, David Norris, Amanda Marchant Reveling in his super gay status, Mr. Norris had no amount of well wishers wanting to get their photo taken with him. Big Brother twins 'Samanda', aka Sam and Amanda Marchant, were first in the queue to plant kisses on his rosy cheeks... Sam Marchant, Amanda Marchant Blonde twins Sam & Amanda stopped off at the pink party for a drink and a boogie after being guests on 'The Cafe' earlier in the evening out at RTE Studios... Sam Marchant, Avril Kelly, Amanda Marchant And they didn't come alone... They brought one of The Cafe's presenters Avril Kelly along with them to GCN's party, and a few other RTE types come gayish icons... Anna Nolan, Amanda Brunker, Blathnaid Ni Chofaigh Another former Big Brother housemate, Anna Nolan, was also inducted into GCN’s House of Gay. As was her former 'Afternoon Show' colleague Blathnaid Ni Chofaigh... Although we reckon Blathnaid was only let in as a token redser – affirmative action and all that. David Norris, Ewen So there you have it folks. Senator David Norris is your gay icon for 2009... We reckon Pippa O’Connor should be next year's gay icon. Just to piss off The Brunker!
