Jedmania at The Toy Show... The Westlife boys must be getting rather miffed with the Jedward sensation engulfing at the globe at the moment. For the second time in as many weeks Jedmania overshadowed the chart topping manband - it all got a little bit hectic at The Late Late Toy last weekend... John Grimes, Edward Grimes (Jedward) We've been covering The Late Late Show on weekly basis for more years than we care to remember and over those countless eons the world's A-List have graced the couches of the long running chat show. More internationally famous faces than you could shake a big hairy stick at. John Grimes, Edward Grimes (Jedward) Yet, even with all those big big big name celebs and world leaders we don't ever remember a time when hoards of additional security had to be drafted in and iron railings erected around the RTE entrance. Well folks, that's what happened last Friday night and all for two spiky haired eejits from Lucan. Has the world gone insane? In a word, yes. Jedward Fans Yup folks. John and Edward Grimes really have taken over the universe, and all on the back of their handful of Louis Walsh devised eccentric out-of-tune performances on the X Factor... And to be brutally brutally honest we kinda dig the two terrible teens, the X Factor just aint worth watching without them. We're down with the Jed. Ryan Tubridy And despite having no hit singles nor anything other than big hair as their claim to fame they somehow managed to upstage multi number one hit sinlges band Westlife on their home soil. Again! Well, we somehow don't think the ring-of-steel placed around RTE studios was for Kian, Mark, Nicky and Shane. Nicky Byrne At least this time the Jedward boys were actually physically at the same location as Westlife. Just recently the Westlife lads switched on the Grafton Street Christmas lights to very audible chants of "Jedward"! Annnnd the twin duo weren't even anywhere near Dublin's busiest boulevard. Mark Feehily As mania for the Grimes twins grows and grows we still have to remind ourselves that in the fickle world of Pop that sort of thing dies down super-duper quick and if the brothers are not managed correctly the two Lucan lads will already be yesterday's news come New Year. Or even Christmas. Shane Filan Ryan Tubridy presented his first Toy Show since taking over the reins from Pat Kenny earlier this year and sensationally managed to break all previous viewing figures on his debut. But was it down to the Jedward factor or the bean pole’s bean poleyness? Hmmmm... Kian Egan So there you have it folks - Jedward, Westlife and The Late Late Toy Show - just another reminder that Christmas is headed this way at light speed... Evanna Lynch Oh and before we forget, Harry Potter actress Evanna Lynch was also a guest on the show... When Jedward are around everything else seems to pale into insignificance.
