Irish actor and Star Wars hero Liam Neeson has revealed that he feared he would be left paralyzed like fellow actor Christopher Reeve after his recent motorbike accident that nearly cost him his life in July of this year.
The 48-year-old from Ireland needed a serious operation after the accident, which repaired his shattered Pelvis.
He came off his Harley Davidson motorcycle when he swerved to avoid a deer. The actor is now following in Reeve footsteps with charity work and is set to relive his moment of terror a benefit organized by the former Superman actor next month to drive home the fact that accident's can happen to anyone.
Neeson will attend the ball in New York's Waldorf Astoria hotel with his wife actress Natasha Richardson (37).
"Liam told me that he thought about my condition when he was lying in the street," said Reeve according to the Irish Star newspaper. ]
Reeve has been a quadriplegic since a horse riding accident five years ago.
"He was going 25 miles an hour in broad daylight when it happened. I think that will help people understand that catastrophe can befall you at any time."
