Noel Gallagher splits with Meg Matthews...

During a week where the personal life and marriage break up of Scary Spice Girl Mel B has been hitting the headlines. The Oasis brother Noel Gallagher (one half of the band) who was raised partly in Ireland and who's father still lives here has split with his wife. The latest blow to the English based rock band has come by way of its second marriage split-up in recent months as singer-songwriter Noel Gallagher and wife Meg Matthews have announced their intentions to end their union, according to Reuters.

"Their relationship started when Oasis were still in their infancy, and the couple have lived through/been together through the whole meteoric rise of the band and the turbulent years that followed," said a U.K. spokesperson for the band.

"Many things have changed in that time, including themselves it seems." Matthews and Gallagher have a 7-month-old daughter, Anais, who was born in January.

The news of the demise of the couple's marriage comes only two months after actress Patsy Kensit and Gallagher's brother, Liam, called their marriage off.
