JJ72 Irish tour dates...

JJ72 have just announced that they are to play their first full Irish tour from 29 November. Now, country-wide fans can see JJ72 at The Black Box, Galway on Wed 29 Nov, Dolans Warehouse, Limerick on Wed 6 Dec, The Annexe, Cork on Thu 7 Dec and the Red Box, Dublin on Fri 8 Dec. JJ72 will also play three Northern Irish dates in Jordanstown, Derry and Belfast.

The Dublin three-piece who release their second single of 2000, 'October Swimmer' on 27 Oct are currently more than half-way through a 17-date UK tour.

Having enjoyed Top 10 success with their eponymous debut album in the Irish charts the single comes in the wake of "Oxygen" which earned them a Top 30 hit in the British charts and an appearance on Top of the Pops.

Despite coming from Dublin, their appearances here so far have been restricted to a handful of dates in the capital, a performance at the Witnness festival in Punchestown and a live performance of 'Oxygen' on The Late Late Show earlier last month.

JJ's front-man Mark Greaney said "I can't wait to play in Ireland ... we haven't done a gig outside Dublin and yet we've done Peterborough and all these weird places in England. So I'm actually really looking forward to it. It should be a different vibe and a different buzz."

The final date of their current tour is with Today FM's Pet Sounds at The Olympia on October 30th. This is followed by a month's European tour in November before they set off for Japan and the United States after Christmas.
