Liam Neeson's mother-in-law and one of the most accomplished English actresses Vanessa Redgrave was in Dublin over the weekend to present The Ambassador of Conscience Award to Vaclav Havel.

The Abbey Theatre was a hive of dignitaries over the weekend where the First President of the Czech Republic and Former Prisoner of Conscience Vaclav Havel was presented with the Ambassador of Conscience Award by English actress Vanessa Redgrave and Irish Poet and Nobel Prize winner in Literature Seamus Heaney.

Vaclav Havel attended the Amnesty International ceremony with his wife Dagmar and was honoured by speeches by both Redgrave and Heaney.
