Sheridan casting East of Harlem...

The Irish Oscar winning film producer/director Jim Sheridan revealed last night exclusively to ShowBizIreland.com his plans for a new Irish blockbuster movie. Sheridan who is best known for the films My Left Foot and The Boxer revealed that he has secretly been working on a new Irish American film called East of Harlem.

The Dubliner now plans to take on two Hollywood stars for the main roles. “I’m currently trying to get Ewan McGregor and Kate Winslet for the two romantic leads. I’ve been working on the script for the past few months and now it’s ready to cast. I hope to get the two of them for the film” Sheridan said.

“It's a modern day romantic story about a couple who move to New York and start over.”

Jim was talking at the start of the world premier of his brother Peter’s new film “Borstal Boy” in Dublin’s Savoy cinema.
