Irish made movie Reign of Fire starring Matthew McConaughey is ready for release with scenes that will "blow you away."

The films screenwriter Matt Greenberg has told SCI FI Wire that even though director Rob Bowman's vision differs from his own, the film is coming together well.

"Ultimately, the director decided to do some things the way he saw them, which is fine, He's the director."

Greenberg describes the Bowman film as a fantasy-adventure in which fire breathing dragons threaten the Earth. It's up to two men (Christian Bale and Matthew McConaughey) with very different points of view as to how to best deal with the dragons to put aside their differences and save the day.

"It's good," Greenberg said. "There are scenes that are just going to blow you away. My favorite scene is an aerial fight with parachuters jumping out of helicopters and fighting the dragons literally in freefall. It's just a spectacular sequence."
