UK Pop Idols get a taste of Dublin ShowBiz...

The UK's most wanted men secretly jetted into Dublin late on Wednesday night for a secret live performance.

The three Pop Idol finalists: Gareth Gates, Will Young and Darius Danesh all flew into Dublin under tight security to perform for over 6,500 fans at S Club 7's sold out concert in the Point.

Each of the Pop Idol's made the surprise appearance and gave their first live concert performance to the stunned S Club 7 fans.

All three performers sung two songs each for the crowd who went wild when it was announced they would do the warm up act for S Club.

Speaking exclusively in Lillies Bordello nightclub where the trio were relaxing after the show Darius said it was an amazing experience.

"It was my first time in Dublin and I have been trying to get here for three years now. It was great tonight we did the warm up act for S Club 7 and it was amazing. Each one of us did two songs each, that we have sung on the show, and the crowd seemed to really like us."

The boys were joined in Dublin by the Pop Idol hosts Ant and Dec.

After the concert S Club 7, the Pop Idols, and Ant and Dec all partied in the ShowBizzz haunt Lillies until well after 3am.

Sitting in the club's members room Gareth, the Pop Idol tipped to win the show, sat quietly on his own with S Club 7 while Will and Darius (who stands at over 6ft 3in) chatted with well wishers in the club.

No fans were allowed spent too much time with the Pop Idols and the trio had two heavyset bodyguards with them at all times.

It has been a busy pop week in Dublin with Childline over the weekend. Westlife, Blue, Hearsay, SIX, ABS from Five, Sophie Ellis Bexter and the new Irish boy band REEL all making appearances in Lillies over the weekend.
