Butler plans to wed as Kidman & Cruise split...

While Hollywood couple Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman who filmed the movie Far and Away in Ireland in 1992 are to separate after 11 years of marriage, Jean Butler the star of Riverdance and Nicole Kidman lookalike has stepped out in Dublin to pose for pictures with her husband to be for the first time. The American born dancer who shot to fame with Michael Flatley in Riverdance in 1995 arrived last Thursday with designer Cuan Hanley on her arm and posed for ShowBizIreland.com photographers.

Cuan proposed to the dancer last year and Jean is now working in the designers shop in Dublin near U2's hotel since her own show failed to take off last year. The couple plan to marry later this year in Ireland.

As for Cruise and Kidman, well he couple, who were widely believed to have one of the happiest marriages in showbusiness, said they had taken the decision "regretfully" and blamed the pressure of work for keeping them apart.

American heartthrob Tom, 38, and Nicole, 34, who married in 1990, have two adopted children, Connor and Isabella. Pat Kingsley, a spokeswoman for the couple told news wire services last night: "Citing the difficulties inherent in divergent careers, which constantly keep them apart, they concluded that an amicable separation seems best for both of them at this time."

The couple met on the set of the 1990 film Days of Thunder and romance soon blossomed - they married on Christmas Eve the same year. Following that the couple came to Dublin where they stayed and made the film Far and Away together which was directed by Ron Howard.

Cruise's film credits also include, Born on the Fourth of July, Rain Man, Top Gun and Mission Impossible. Kidman, who was born in Hawaii, but grew up in Australia has starred in a host of movies including Dead Calm and Batman Forever.

In 1999 the couple appeared in Stanley Kubrick's final film the erotic thriller, Eyes Wide Shut.
