5ive appear in court...

Two members of the boy band 5ive appeared in court today in connection with a brawl in a Dublin bar. Ritchie Neville, 21 - who gave his name in court as Richard Dobson - and Jason Brown, 23, were arrested after a scuffle in which a man was assaulted. They appeared dressed in dark suits before Dublin District Court charged with public disorder and breaching the peace.

Brown was also charged with assault.

They were remanded on bail to return to the court on January 10. The pair are in Dublin with other members of the band for concerts at The Point. The concerts are scheduled to go ahead as planned.

The alleged brawl happened Wednesday night at the Palace Bar in Fleet Street. One man was taken to St James' Hospital. He required stitches for a facial injury. However , the owner of the Dublin bar has called the whole event a publicity stunt.
