Mirren & Bancroft to film in Ireland...

Award winning actresses Helen Mirren and Anne Bancroft are coming to these shores soon to film an Italian Gigolo movie.

Oscar nominee, Golden Globe and Emmy Award winner Helen Mirren star of such hits as The Madness of King George, Prime Suspect and Losing Chase and the Oscar and Emmy winner Anne Bancroft star of Agnes of God and The Graduate will star in the Showtime Original Picture of Tennessee Williams hit The Roman Spring of Mrs Stone.

The film is slated to begin production in April 2002 in Ireland and Rome in Italy.

Based on the Tennessee Williams' novel it is the story of a recently widowed middle-aged American actress and her affair with a young Italian Gigolo.

The film will be executively produced by Hilary Heath with a script by Martin Sherman. The Emmy nominated Robert Allan Ackerman will direct.
