Julian Hot n' Spicey... Dublin's socialites came out to play last Thursday 30th March as top choreographer and Entertainment Manager, Julian Benson in association with Club Anabel & FM104, launched "Hot n' Spicy", Dublin's premier Salsa Club. The very exclusive Club Anabel was the venue for the Latino themed event.

Doors opened at 8.30pm and party-goers were greeted by pulsating Samba drumming, fantastic pyrotechnics, and daring stilts walkers - and that was outside!. The entertainment inside was just as hot with performances from Salsa Brava, Shah - The King of Limbo and the Club Anabel residents, the Hot n' Spicy Dance Troupe.

Some of Dublin's most well known faces came along to celebrate the night including restaurateur, Simon Stokes with girlfriend Conach Breslin, the lovely Sharon Smurfit, gorgeous, Amy Creighton and Cecilia Ahern of Eurosong Band 'Shimma'. Representing Assets Model Agency were Jill Diffley and Ivonne Van Haaften. Dublin's "Golden Couple" Mark Dunne and Vivienne Connolly cut a dash on the dance floor alongside FM104 DJ, Steve K.

Julian has appeared in numerous television productions for RTE Television including The Late Late Show and Kenny Live amongst others. Television commercial features include 'Club Orange', 'Good Style "Ooh!"' and Milton Bradley Board Games (USA). Stage shows include 'The Nutcracker' with the Scottish Ballet at the Point Theatre Dublin and 'Sleeping Beauty - Sort Of', also in the Point Theatre.

Julian presently runs his own Entertainment Management Company, Julian Benson Management & Publicity, which specialises in all aspects of the music/entertainment industry. The company's clients include The Moscow Folk Ballet Company from the world-renowned RIVERDANCE - The Show and members of The Lord of the Dance Company. Most recently, the company travelled to the United Arab Emirates to present a corporate evenings entertainment for Sheik Mohammad following their European performance in Denmark at the Long Lands Festival.

Julian has produced and choreographed many fashion productions for Ireland's top retail companies including Pepe Jeans Ireland, Brown Thomas, The Design Centre and was recently responsible for the 'Ritz' television commercial in Ireland. He has also worked in the pop world with Boyzone and B'witched amongst others and was associate publicity co-ordinator of the IRMA-(Irish Record Music Industry) Awards in 1998. Julian Benson Management has specialised in the music, corporate and entertainment industry for the past ten years and prides itself on it's professional reputation and quality of service. The company has conceptualised, developed and produced major corporate events both at home and abroad. As event and entertainment managers, they have worked in conjunction with such profile companies such as Ginger Media - TFI Friday, Aiken Promotions, Brown Thomas, Estee Lauder Cosmetics, Pepe Jeans London, Dunnes Stores, The Pamela Scott Group and The Wayne Sleep Foundation London. Most recently, Julian Benson Management was responsible for the production of the world-wide launch of the new Clairol Herbal Essence hair products.

The Starstruck Stage School was established to give young talent the opportunity to learn the art of theatre an dance and it's aim is to introduce and nurture new, up and coming talent to the world of The Performing Arts in lively and enjoyable classes. The school has produced some fine Irish talent most notably Amy Creighton of the pop band "Shimma" and who is also tipped to star in the new Andrew Lloyd Webber musical.

The Starstruck Agency was founded in January 1999 by Julian Benson. It has gone from strength to strength since then, boasting clients such as Sno Yoghurt, Super Valu and Kimberly Mikado. The agency represents young people of varying musical talents for all theatrical and television productions, films, commercials, fashion shows and voice-overs. Throughout the year, the children get the opportunity to attend auditions for various productions.
